My bitter experience with Paystack payment gateway 


Sorry, that you haven't heard from me for a while with new articles.

But the topic of today is not about African history or black history or culture per se. It's rather about my unfortunate experience with a payment gateway called paystack. 

I've been using Paystack to receive money from customers on my travel abroad site www.emeranalytica.com and from supporters on this blog. 

Since the past months, I earned over $4,000 from my travel abroad site and from donors on this site.

The $2,820 was earned on my travel abroad site, while about $1,400 came from anonymous readers of this blog who either supported my documentary project fundraising or just supported this blog. 

Those of you who've read my book: "what is Satan? What is Lucifer? The biggest secret in the world" are aware that at the end of the book I made an appeal to everyone who read the book to support me raise money to turn the book into a documentary.

Now, the book has been published by many sites around the world and those interested in supporting the documentary project, do exactly what I instructed them to do in the book- they search "Africason" on the internet to find my blog and make a donation. That's how I earned the $1,400.

On my travel abroad site, a customer bought an advert placement on the site. He planned to have the advert run for a year! But settled for 6 months because paystack won't let him pay. The payment gateway works intermittently, and I have complained this to paystack many times in the past.

Can you believe that paystack withheld my earnings for 1 month? They claimed they were "reviewing" my account and at the end of the review they refunded all the money to everyone who sent me money, and finally deactivated my accounts. Now, I can't even login to the portal anymore. Fortunately, I already took those screenshots.

They won't explain why they committed such act of wickedness, except the garbage they wrote me below.

Mind you, I've been using paystack to receive payment for about 5 years now. I've made hundreds of sales and have received donations from readers of this blog from all over the world. I've never had a single charge back from any customer. I've never had a complaint about my product or service from any customer on my travel abroad site. I've never had a cancelled order from any customer. 

As I am not in town at the moment, I've made efforts to contact lawyers to file a case against paystack but the response I am getting from them is not encouraging. They're of the opinion that I may have signed away my right to sue them in the merchant agreement I signed when I started using paystack. But I don't think so.

Now, what's driving me crazy and making me depressed is that I don't know the donors who donated the money to me. They're probably just random readers, else they would have let me know. 

And on my travel abroad site, I contacted the person who placed the advert, and he said he doesn't understand what I am talking about. Then, he stopped responding.

This is why I am so depressed now. I've lost everything. 

I am not a rich person monetarily, neither do I want to be. I prefer low key life, which allows me time to research and offer the type of service I render on this site. But someone taking the money I legitimately earned, and I have no way of getting it back is causing me serious depression. 

Yet, I don't earn money all the time. Sometimes, I don't earn anything in a month, in fact, money I earn from this blog won't be enough for me to feed myself. I do it for the love of it.

I have written to all government agencies about this but got no reply. The central bank only gave an  auto reply with a form. I've filled their form several times until I realized it's just an auto reply.

Now. I know why normal people commit suicide or pick up a knife and go stabbing innocent people on the street or some pick up a gun to kill innocent people. They feel hurt inside but couldn't just handle it well. 

Kindly support me with money to hire a strong legal team to pursue this case. It'll cost me a lot of money to challenge them but I'll win. I've gone through their terms of service and can see they're wrong.

1. They have a 3D security protection on their gateway, which means that OTP (one time password) is required to be confirmed by the card owner before a transaction is completed. This is usually sent to the phone number or email of the card owner only. So, nobody is talking about fraud here.

2. Even if there's a case of fraud when 3D security has been implemented by the payment gateway, it's the responsibility of the card issuers (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc) to eat the loss, not me!!

3. Their own agreement says that in case there's a charge back by a customer after I've been paid, then I'll be responsible for the refund, not them.

This is a "David and Goliath fight" and with your support I'll hire quality lawyers to win this case and recover my earnings. Please support me to hire a strong legal team to pursue this case. I'll win them! Please support me with any amount you can afford, even if it's one Dollar- nothing is too small. I am also open to accepting a non-interest loan. I am sure I'll win this case and will return your money.

White people or other non blacks who read this blog should also help me. 

No, I am not racist. 

It's unfortunate that most non blacks who read this blog would probably consider my online persona as being a racist.  

No, I am not a racist. I don't hate white people.

I need to say this because it's easy for someone to mistake me as being racist due to my writing style for the sake of defense of black people, in fact, someone told me that my money was confiscated by Paystack (a Stripe company) because of the "black-centric" message I carry on this blog.

I don't know who's reading this but let me use this opportunity to inform you that I am not racist. 

If you think I am racist, you're grossly mistaken. I only write to expose suppressed historical facts that black people should know. 

No, I am not racist, in fact, I have a history of supporting white people. I have given to white causes at one point or the other in the past. 

I still have a record of one of them, which was a plea by former US presidents, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Barrack Obama, openly begging for money on TV, sometime in 2017 to support a charity cause. 

I tuned my TV right here in Africa, saw them and I was touched. I immediately donated $25 or thereabout. I could have donated even more but that was all I had in my card at that instant.
